Cable 104
"Untitled" - By David Tischman and Igor Kordey
Tischman wraps up his run on Cable with an explosive and good ending. The cloning lab is destroyed and with it, most of the clones and the attacking army. Minor problem with a lot of the characters being introduced and yet having little to do with the story. It's also a little hard to believe that clones remember who they were previous before there death (all of them). Kordey's art is breathtaking in this issue, like he is with every other issue so far in his run. Next month brings Darko Macan as regular writer.

Score: 7/10

Green Arrow 13
"The Sound of Violence" - By Kevin Smith, Phil Hester and Ande Parks
It's always good to have someone like Kevin Smith around. Unfortunately, there's only 2 more issues left with him before the change in writers. Until then, we get his usual brand of writing, which is always pleasing. The new villain, Onomotepia (or however you spell it), is a crazy little nutcase. The opening scene with the argument between Oliver and Hawkman gets confusing after a while, but other than that, it's hard to complain about a book this good.

Score: 9/10

X-Treme X-Men 12
"Second Front" - By Chris Claremont and Salvador Larroca
This, on the other hand, is rather difficult to recommend. This is better than last month, but barely. The blandness has dissappeared, if only for the return of long, long lines of narration. A lot of characters still sound alien (aka we don't talk like this today, why oh why is it here?), and the dreaded "I'm LIFEGUARD!" has appeared. I cringed. The art really needs some help. The opening page splash and following double page looks magnificent, and there are some other brilliant moments. A lot of the issue, though, is tough to get through with Liquid!'s colors and Claremonts narration. The plot is rather easy to get into, but that's about it.

Score: 3/10

Robo Dojo 3
"Untitled" - By Marv Wolfman and Greg Lane
Nanobotz 3
"Bite Me" - By Conor Libby, J. Torres and Dario Brizuela
Finish up this month with a comic becoming a personal favorite of mine. In essence, it's just marvelous anime/magna. The story and art say it all. This month, a secret organization attacks a dojo by inflicting a virus on the Robojins (trust me) and attacking with dozens of their own. The art is a little confusing at times but overall, a nice little story. Three issues left with this one. It's one of those love/hate things with this kind of story. Trust me, it's good ol' fashion anime. The backup is moving nicely as well, though the heroes (people in suits which are shrunk) are still having difficulty moving the plot along. All in all, though, I'm enjoying all of it.

Score: 9/10
