Bogus Opus N' Andy's

More stuff regarding the two Opus N' Andys that existed at that time. More Bibb protesting vulgarity and sexism in the strip (anyone catch the subtle iorny of this yet?). Some brief explanations: Mike Margraff was a trumpet solist in the band for a while. His nickname was Opie. He looked like Opie. He didn't like being called Opie so he grew a beard. People still called him Opie. With a name so simmilar to Opus, he was the perfect choice for this parody (this was in the days before Rob Opitz). Randy (Bourdages) was the announcer for the band at the time. He always managed to butcher people's names and the names of the songs we played. For some reason, he always wore a trenchcoat. The reference to Opus N' Andy getting the measles comes from a scare on campus that semmester of a measles outbreak. It was thought that our Drum Major, Norm Vaughn, was one of the people who had it and everyone in band had to get a measles shot. Turns out he just had the flu and only one or two people on campus actually had the measles. Another brilliant deduction by the NIU health center.

Lastly, I would like to point out that my father saw this cartoon and was very angry at me for using the word 'laid'. He said people don't appreciate that kind of humor. He now watches 'The Osbournes' religiously. Anyone catch the subtle iorny of that?
