Who Draws Opus N' Andy
As I've mentioned before, there was, for a while, another Opus N' Andy cartoon that appeared on the band board. It was drawn by a drummer in the band and was mostly traced from Bloom County books. Looking back, I think I overdid the whole 'contreversy' a little too much in my cartoon, but, dammit, I came up with the idea first! Anyways, after several Opus N' Andy's people were starting to wonder who was drawing the silly thing. I never was trying to be a 'secret author' or anything like that, I just never bothered to put my name on the cartoons. In any case, it became some big todoo over who this guy was who was drawing this (I got a few 'Oh my God! You're the guy who draws this?!''s from people who 'caught' me putting the cartoons up on the board), so I decided to play along for a while. I don't really need to explain any of the people in this one, cause I explain them in the cartoon itself, but I do have a few quick stories. Brenda Wacholz (or Blender Waffles as we sometimes called her) got quite drunk at an awards banquet at Lake Lawn Lodge one year and was litteraly chasing after Brian Wis (whom she had a big crush on) all night long. It didn't seem to matter to her that she was doing this outside in the snow in her bare feet. Brenda transfered to another school after a year, so most band people don't even remember her, but she was a good friend to me my freshman year. The 'D.C.' in Eric 'D.C.' Walton's name stands for 'Dick Cheese'. He got this name because he worked in cheesy musical groups at amusment parks and he dicked just about every girl he met. I can say this about him because he was my roomate for a semmester and he slept with at least five different women WITH ME IN THE ROOM during that one semmester. Lastly, the comment about the 'bad drawing" of someone named 'Dickless' refers to the inclusion of Dave McCabe in the 'Opus Jumped a Silverette' issue of this comic. Dave had that unflattering nickname for only a short period of time. It was latter replaced by the much more dignified 'Strap-on'. Dave Schaeff (the drummer who drew the 'other' Opus N' Andy) thought I was talking about him, even though I had not drawn him yet, when he first saw this and got quite mad. That's why I added the little disclaimer.
