Cincinatti Awards Banquet

The band awards banquet, in 1989, was in Cincinatti; coinciding with a performance at an away football game. I didn't get to go along cause I wasn't in band that semmester. Bibb wanted to find a way for me to come since, in his words, my strip was the 'cultural highlight of the year' in the band, but it just didn't happen. Bibb also complained that his shoulders weren't big enough in previous strips, so I obliged him with this one. Once again I am poking fun at the 'other' Opus N' Andy with this one. All of the characters in the last frame were traced from Bloom County books and had also appeared in Dave Schaeff's Opus N' Andy. Get it? The real Opus wasn't there but the traced one was! I'm so clever! Ha ha ha.
