Johnny C.
If you couldn't guess from the title, Johnny is a HOMOCIDAL MANIAC. Glad we got that cleared up. At the beginning of the series, you can infer that he has been that way for a while... However, it's not just that Johnny has a quick temper and violent tendencies, or anything even so simple as being not quite right in the head. Personally, I think Nny is basically sane, he justs sees things differently. But, that is just an opinion. ( No, I don't think that people should go and kill other people for reasons as simple as wearing bellbottoms.. In fact, I don't think people should kill other people at all. Humanity is stupid. )

Things never really get spelled out for you, which is unfortunate for the less intelligent. In any case, the gist of it is that there's this thing in his wall, some otherworldly beast demon thing called "Moose," I beleive. And, in order to keep this creature from "breaking through," Nny has to keep the wall wet with blood. On top of that, I somehow think it either feeds on Johnny's... mind, almost, or perhaps the violent acts that Johnny is responsible for. What confuses me is that there is also this talk of being a "flusher," which is still something I don't quite understand, but... .:: shrugs ::.

But early on in the series, Johnny encounters something that totally throws a wrench into his mechanics... Devi.

Devi
Devi is also in I Feel Sick, but right now I'm covering JtHM. She makes her entrance in Issue #2, while on a date with Nny. The date wasn't exactly... warm fuzzy and lovey, but that's to be expected... they do have chemistry, though. Unfortunately, she ends the date by kicking the snot out of Nny and running off. However, I can't blame her... She spends the rest of the series traumatized in her house, but we do hear from her again.

Squee
Also known as Todd Casil. This poor young soul is also the object of torture in SQUEE! (well, um, duh.) Squee's home situation is awful. The poor kid was obviously an unplanned birth... his father loathes him, and not that tough love shit, either. He HATES him. And his mother... well, I'm not quite sure what she's on. c_c; Squee's only friend is his teddy bear, Shmee.. And he is a very paranoid little boy. However, despite how horrible his situation is, he is a very sweet little boy.. he just has horrible, horrible luck. He moved in next to Johnny. He gets terrorized and traumatized throughout the series, although Johnny really is trying to "help" him.

Psycho Doughboy
Also known as D-boy. Originally he was just a painted peice of Styrofoam, as was Mr. Eff. I assume that, originally, Nny used them to sort of... voice different parts of himself, put a face on the other end of his internal conversations. However, what happens when they start to say things he doesn't want them to? When they start to move? When they gain their own consciousness? This new "consciousness" is really the work of the thing in the wall, Moose. It created them to "unlock its prison." In fact, I think actually Johnny had to do it- (I'm not going to say how exactly... @_@ do you know how hard it is to pick what to say and what to leave out?! I think I might have to write up an essay on this.)

The difference between Dboy and Eff is how they deal with their existence. If you've read any of the JtSM comics, you would notice that Dboy is the one convincing Nny to commit suicide. Really, Dboy wants to finish this business and go back to a state of non-being. And Eff, well..

Mr. Fuck
This will make no sense if you haven't read Dboy's bio. Anyway, Mr. Fuck is also known as Eff. Once Eff got a taste of freedom, he realized he didn't want to go back to his master. He liked this freedom, he envied Nny's ability to kill people and have other forms of fun. He wants to keep Nny alive until he himself can break away from his master and exist freely. He's the one convincing Johnny to go out and "enjoy" things... (aka kill people in hideous ways.)

Nailbunny
Nailbunny is something of an opposing force to Eff and Dboy. He's another of Johnny's internal voices, but he isn't connected with Moose. I think he actually still belongs to Nny. His voice is attached to the form of a bunny that Johnny took home, fed once, and nailed to the wall. (3 years before the first issue.) He's really Nny's only... "friend." He tries to keep Nny from killing himself, and alerts Nny to what's going on around him.

Happy Noodle Boy
Anyone who has done their homework (or looked around this place) can discover HNB's real world origins. However, that is not what I'm covering here. Johnny used to be an artist, and a very good one at that. However, in his descent into insanity, he has been diminished to drawing a stick figure that spouts random phrases... Apparently, his little comic is popular with the "homeless insane..."

Tess
While Tess and her boyfriend Dillon only appear in 2 issues, they are somewhat important characters. I think Tess gives us as much of a reality check as we're going to get in Issue #5. Really, she's an innocent victim of Nny's rage. Mostly she was attacked and abducted because she hung out with an irritating asshole (enter, Dillon.) She and an even more anal asshole than Dillon, Krik, try to escape from Nny's house during the final breakdown.

Anne Gwish
Anne is actually not connected with the plot of JtHM in any way, but she is a humorous diversion. She is the stereotypical Goth, and that alone is enough to cause laughter.

Wobbly Headed Bob
This jellybean of a creature is also a non sequiter. His story is one of endless torment. He is doomed to be the only enlightened one in a mass if ignorant but blissful people.
