Cover This issue is one of my favorites. It's not super heavy on dialogue, like #4, but it's still got a fair amount thought-provoking things. And, it's also one of the funniest issues. Well, I think so anyway. It opens with "Traumatize Thy Neighbor," a charming comic in which we meet little Squee, who has just moved in (unknowingly next to a certain frighteningly thin person.) He can't sleep, because he keeps hearing things, and he thinks he's being watched. But, his parents don't really seem to care. Squee quickly discovers that someONE or someTHING has broken his window... and gone into the bathroom in search of Bactine. Guess who??!!! I'll bet you haven't the SLIGHTEST idea. No. No, it's not an angry penguin. You moron, it's JOHNNY!! And he's just so... maniacal in this one. He really does look insane. Nny gets acquainted with Squee, and then meets Squee's little bear, Shmee... And I love this part SO much that I'm going to keep my little mouth shut. If you don't have this issue, I'm sure that if you look around here enough and use your deductive reasoning, you'll figure it out. Next is a WHB comic. Poo on him. Wahaha... Another of my favorites. The Survey Sketch!! That's what I call it, anyway. I think it's called "A Survey In Hell". Hehe. Mr. Survey Guy is doing- A SURVEY!! For the neighborhood crime council. First he talks to a rather disgusting woman who looks oh so much like yo' mama. Then, he moves on to the next house, number 777. Nny freaks him out a bit (understandably), but he is invited in. Nny interrogates him breifly, and then the questions begin... Nny's survey answers are very interesting, I suggest you get a hold of this issue if you don't have it. (I'd write them out, but... We must support the Jhonen.) Then, Mr. Survey Guy makes the mistake of asking a question that Johnny finds... offensive. You should be able to guess the rest. Happy Noodle Boy!!!! This lovely little thing features HNB ranting on a crate. As usual. But, hell, it's funny. xD! This one doesn't have a title, I don't think... but it involves some rather unpleasant events at a Taco Smell, caused by an unfortunate word. How.... wacky. .:: dodges knives ::. Meanwhile... Crossing Gods. You would NOT beleive how long it took me to undertand this one. u_u. Anyway, it involves a battle between two crossing guard who are actually manifestations of the Gods Zeelod and Agriyun. 's got 'splosions... and monsters.. :9 WHB. He does his... Wobbly things. You know, the song I'm listening to is very sad. ._. Another nameless one... Hm. How to summarize. Well... Ouch. And now, Another 2 AM, which, beleive it or not, almost made me cry the first time I read it. See, in every issue, there's a Johnny the Suicidal Maniac comic, and this is it for this issue. I wasn't necessarily sad that Nny was going to kill himself, but what he says is just so beautiful... ._. In any case, this particular suicide is to be brought about by a gun, and the usual discussion between Nny, D-Boy, and Nailbunny (Eff isn't in this one) ensues. We then spend a day with Happy Noodle Boy. Squee! And then, Nny has a moment of clarity. The end. |
