I'm not really sure how to open this review. I really liked this game as a kid, and it had its strong points and some originality, but at the end of the day, was basically the beginning of the end. It introduced the slide, allowing you to cover ground faster and get into hard through slim openings. Unfortunately, that's really dumb cuz older games had no such openings, meaning this change is just one more thing for you to do. Repeating factors start to show up, and while I'll always admit that hindsight is 20-20, it's very obvious now that the developers were setting themselves up to reuse the same stuff again and again.
What I liked:
Some cool bosses
Megaman2 bosses come back for some more. I missed those guys.
Sliding. Wow. Cool for like a minute.
What I didn't:
Sliding isn't cool that long
Magnet Man stole Metal Man's clothes
Spark Man is basically Elec Man without the funny dance
Top Man just sounds like a puss
Hard Man sounds pretty homoerotic
Snake Man sounds pretty homoerotic
Needle Man sounds pretty homoerotic
Gemini Man sounds like a horoscope thing
Shadow Man is a waste of ninja flip-out powers
Controls: 9. Fine.
Graphics: 8. Solid.
Sound: 5. Still sucks. No way to fix it.
Style: 1. Gets worse each time. Same crap, different smell.
1st hour: 9. WOW. So many new bosses. Awesome!
2nd hour: 7. Didn't I fight that guy in the last game? Yeah.
1st week: 7. Not that hard, but frustrating anyway.
2nd week: 6. Getting old. Played it too much before.
1st month: 4. One and Two are better. This one's good but doesn't stack up well against past history.
The number one reason I HATE THIS GAME is that I've played the better versions already: Megaman and Megaman 2.
