Super Mario Brothers
Nintendo long time ago
Mushrooms and Red flowers might mean nothing to the common person. But when these things sprout from magical boxes labeled with large question marks, the word 'Mario' pops into the head of any true gamer. This week's video game review is on Super Mario Bros. (the original). Spanning 8 wonderful and classic worlds, this game makes time fly like eating at [any crappy college cafeteria]. Mario truly represents the perfect American past time. Thousands upon thousands of children spent their afternoons and evenings conquering legions of Goombas and Koopa Troopers. Super Mario Bros. contains more secrets than you can shake a stick at from warp levels, secret 1 ups, and magical beanstalks that take you to the heights of the Mushroom Kingdom. I know that any true gamer is low on cash, due to the excessive impulse shopping at Electronics Boutique. But Super Mario Bros. is the perfect fit for the gamer low on cash. In the opinion of this video game reviewer, Super Mario Bros. is the absolute best way to spend $.19 ever, period! And to top it all off, Super Mario Bros offers the classic soundtrack that every gamer should know, all done by the acclaimed video game creator Shigeru Miyamoto. Just when you think that you've gotten enough of this classic game by tipping Bowser into yet another lake of lava (old school style), Toad tells you that Princess Toadstool is "in another Castle", opening up yet another new and exciting challenge. Although the incessant rambling of this little fungus man does irritate the nerves at times, the astonishing pixilated graphics and the wealth of playable characters (both Mario and Luigi!) far overshadows this minor fault. Not only do you get hours upon hours of pleasure, but you also get the great first person shooter DUCK HUNT as an added bonus.
