Zephron's Rambling Page, Presented By:

The rambling for today(06-10-03) will be on the topic of likes and dislikes. I choose this as my first topic because it is one of the things I always found to be something you need to get across to people. No matter how open minded one is, there all always things that people will never give a chance at and that is something that upsets me. You cannot have a complete opinion on jack shit unless you give something a try, you can't just tell yourself you won't like something, because you keep that thought in your head when you do try it and you will continue to dispute on the problems with it more so than the better qualities of it. Now seriously people, before you start thinking of smartass questions, this entire thing isn't to be put in ever context you can place it in, this is talking about entertainment, not anything perverted. Okay, now lets get in deep with this topic... if I still have people paying attention after saying this wasn't a perverted topic... that will be for later. Anyways... where was I? Oh yeah, okay, lets take this example: Webcomics... I wonder why I picked this topic of all topics... One thing a lot of you don't realize is how serious I take other people's work. In that, anyone willing to share their ideas, time, and sense of humor, earn muchos respect from me. In saying that, any time I hear someone say they think something is stupid or boring makes me want to smack the shit out of them then pee on their unconsious body. But, I am pretty good at reseving myself and so just ask that person if they have read it fully or not. If not, then I basicly tell them they cannot say jack shit until they have read everything put before them. Example: Koishii hated El Goonish Shive for who knows, I told her to fully read the comic from begining to end, it isn't like she has anything else to do being graduated and all. Anyways, she did and now, bam! Koishii loves El Goonish Shive more than anything else on the web. She even threatens me when I call it El Goo-ness Shive... that's a tell for another time. But, one of her original problems with it is that that one comic on the main page didn't catch her attention. I would bet anything if today's comic was the first comic you all saw on my site that I'd get next to no one reading my comic. I give comics a chance, many actually. There are comics out there I have read it would repulse me to place on my site, but I read each and every comic on their site before I said anything. It took me forever to get into the story they had going in 8-bit Theater, but after about the 100 something comic I started getting into it. Now, with that said, I'm still working on reading PvP... it's been out for a long time, really long time, long enough to have its own actual comic outside of webcomics... since 1997 I think. I can't say anything about it though, because I haven't finished it aside from the fact that there are way too many StarTrek parodies in there than I wanted to see, but I'm still reading the bitch. Who know, some story arc could come out of nowhere and grab my attention and I would miss that if I had decided to go on my original tangent about not liking the comic. Now, I know a lot of you, even after reading it fully, will not find anything worth your while, but that is okay, atleast you gave someone enough of your time. I don't expect eveyone to enjoy the same things I like, my sense of humor is off wack with everyone else. Most of the comedy in my comic is situation, imagry, or low comedy (physical or verbal abuse found to be funny in most context) only because I know half of you wouldn't understand anything if I went into a Monty Python style of humor, or any British humor in that. I put imagry humor in ther just to see who is actually paying attention. Some of it consists of inside jokes, other parts are just things I thought would be funny to have in there. Now, if you don't like something, I do feel you have to give reasons behind not liking it. Reasons that I wont except are: just because; it's boring; it's dumb; you get the picture. If you have an opinion on something, you better have reasons, and examples as to why you don't like something. Like when I say I'm an athiest, I don't say just because, I give reasons, I give beliefs, and did I directly choose without any other thought? NO, I went to church, I read the Bible, I tried to understand what it was that I was letting go. Now, do I remember half the crap I learned... not as much as I would like to, which is why whenever I have something I don't remember, I'll go back and look it up. I'm not going to go into a religious discussion with someone pro religious and not remember half the things there were in the Bible, I'd look like any other jackass who thinks they know what they're talking about but don't. Rambling is fun everyone, I'll do it whenever I have something to ramble about, but not all the time. I don't expect you to fully understand my message as I'm not the best person at dictating their feelings towards things, but hopefully this was coherant enough to understand. -Zephron Scythe
