Biography of Dan McAuley

An epic tale of the birth and some of the life of
Dan McAuley

A long long time ago in a little house in New Jersey a very happily married couple decided they wanted to have a baby. So they went into the kitchen and made one. They grabbed the ingredients they wanted for the child, some brown hair, 2 hazel eyes, some bones, and some skin and a little bit of!! RoCK n' RoLL!! And they put it in the oven at about 5'7 1/2 inches and about 150 lbs. after about 9 months they checked the oven and decided it was done so they put on some mittens so they wouldn't burn their hands, because they knew this one was gonna be hot hot hot. And walla out popped Dan the most beautiful thing their mortal eyes had laid eyes on. After about 14 years on this earth Dan decided that being just a regular human on this earth was far to boring for him. So he had a talk with his mother and BOOM Dan’s will be done, he had a guitar! With a little help from his friend Kenny, Dan had begun his journey in becoming an awesome guitar player. A year had passed and Dan had decided that his level with the guitar had grown to which it was time to play with a band. Which was a lovely thing that Dan had discovered with the help of his good buddy Chris Harris who had also picked up the guitar and was playing in a band known as “see john run”. After watching a few practices and seeing a few shows Dan had seen the light and the fun that could be had while up on stage playing music. One day while surfing the web for pictures of his favorite heavy metal gods MetallicA Dan noticed that most bands had all this in common.... equipment that was not crappy... Dan looked over at his 15-watt fender amp and his $100 squire stratocastor and decided this would not do. Dan began his search for a guitar and it finally ended with a lucky find on ebay. Low and behold Dan had come across possibly the most awesome coolest and sickest guitar ever made. The 1985 designer series Gibson flying V. oh what joy filled Dan’s heart as he looked at the picture. Soon that joy was erased, as he looked at the price $626 where could he come up with that kind of bread in just 2 days.... not possible. Who could help Dan? None other then ...Mom! She had come through a year before when purchasing him his first guitar surely she could pull through again. And with much begging, groveling, and "I love you mommy’s" she finally forked over the dough and the V was his. For 6 months Dan played and played and played on the V knowing deep down inside that there was no other guitar that would suit him. During this time Dan had become good friends with the members of see john run, in particular john Crepezzi founder and drummer of the band, after jamming a couple of times Dan and John felt they needed to start their own band, and with the untimely demise of see john run the time was never more perfect. So Dan and John hit the streets looking for 1 more person who could fill the empty slots in the band. Dan decided that his friend Mike Dwyer, who played the bass, would fit in nicely with Dan and John. Dan discussed the idea with John and they both agreed that they should jam with Mike and see what he’s got. After many heated battles in the halls of school between Dan and Mike (which mike won both of the fights) arguing over if Mike sucked at bass or not, finally Dan convinced Mike he did not suck at the bass and that he should join him and John for a jam session. And when he did, oh boy what beautiful music they made. Thus Creating...
