Bios: Amy Rose has actually been a long time enemy of Robotnik’s, back when his dictatorship of Mobius was just beginning, Amy tried to rally the citizens of Mobius against Robotnik, but they thought the idea was suicide. Amy was forced to fight alone and wound up destroying a machine Robotnik had created to simulate Sonic’s skills. Tossed into the explosion herself, Amy emerged unscathed and with a stunning pink makeover. After hearing of her bravery, the citizens began to take the idea of resistance more seriously.

Amy soon became infatuated with Sonic and proclaimed to anyone who would listen that she was his girlfriend and the two were in love. This brought her to the attention of Robotnik, who ordered his Troopers to arrest her. Sonic and Johnny followed them to Robotnik’s Fortress in the Special Zone, where they were trapped and witness to Robotnik’s own evil makeover. Breaking free of their prison and safely returning to Sonic’s secret underground base, Sonic reluctantly agreed to allow Amy to join the Freedom Fighters under the condition that she stopped her infatuation with him. Coyly, she agreed.

Amy found herself the captive of Captain Plunder, forcing Sonic and the Freedom Fighters to travel into the Mystic Caves to rescue her. Amy stopped the fight between Sonic and Plunder, organising a truce between the two that involved Captain Plunder’s assistance in return for knowledge of the most profitable freighters in Robotnik’s empire. However this led to Porker Lewis accidentally letting slip the location of the Chaos Emeralds, although Sonic retrieved them easily enough.

What wasn’t easy was rescuing Amy (again) from the clutches of the Sonic Terminator, a machine created by Robotnik that could mimic Sonic in everyway. Named Metallix, it kidnapped Amy and lured Sonic to the Miracle Planet, where the two had a long fight, eventually leading to Sonic travelling through time with the Time Stone to alter the past and ensure that Metallix was erased from history. However, fortunately for Amy but unfortunately for Sonic, the Miracle Planet faded out of Mobius’s dimension, trapping the two together for a whole month.

Amy can become intensely jealous when Sonic pays attention to other females, best seen when Sonic journeyed to help a young girl, who was soon revealed to be the shape-shifting Metamorphia. Amy was, however, proven wrong about her assumptions that the Floating Island was just a legend; a fact confirmed when Sonic and Tails returned from said Island with Robotnik as a prisoner. After Robotnik took his revenge and destroyed Sonic’s base, Amy and the others were forced to undergo the pseudonym of “Bob Beaky’s Travelling Circus”, where Amy learned to become skilful with a crossbow, a talent which halted the re-construction of the Death Egg thanks to Amy’s well timed arrow that destroyed one of the Death Egg’s main thrusters.

Amy had another run in with Metamorphia when she posed as Sonic’s “brother”, then convinced Sonic to ask Knuckles to join the Freedom Fighters, which led them to fighting Predicto. Amy came with Sonic, Porker, Tails and Johnny to liberate thirty-five of the Emerald Hill folk from Metropolis City, proved ineffective against the rampage of Mekanik, journeyed with the Freedom Fighters back to the Miracle Planet (where she learned that Sonic had hid from her in a series of caves during their time alone there) to fight the Brotherhood Of Metallix (managing to disable a Metallix with an arrow-shot to the neck), was present to see Sonic transform into Super Sonic to fight Commander Brutus, and accompanied the Freedom Fighters on various other missions.

When Porker Lewis lost his nerves following his capture by the Brotherhood Of Metallix and decided to give up being a Freedom Fighter, Amy was the first to speak up against Sonic’s harsh treatment of Porker, proving she had come a long way from the infatuated girl she used to be. Sonic eventually swallowed his pride and wished his friend well. Amy proved also that she is a competent Freedom Fighter in her own right by defeating the electrical beast Plasma, then allowing Sonic to take the credit, believing the people of Mobius need to look up to Sonic as a source of hope.

Amy found herself fighting for her life, however, when Sonic transformed into Super Sonic and became hell bet on killing her and the other Freedom Fighters. Luckily, Amy was able to establish a link between the Kintobor Computer and a Starpost to drain the Chaos energy out of Sonic, effectively separating the two. However this led to Sonic becoming trapped in the Special Zone after tricking Super Sonic into the Omni-Viewer, leaving Mobius in the hands of Amy and the others.

Amy accepted the added responsibility of leading the Freedom Fighters and continued the fight, something that became much easier when Shortfuse The Cybernik joined the team, however when Shortfuse’s irresponsible actions almost led to Johnny’s death, Amy kicked him off the team. Amy and the others managed to get the citizens of Metropolis City riled up and ready to rebel, although they were almost killed by Vermin The Cybernik, however Sonic returned in time to free Mobius from Robotnik’s rule following an Electromagnetic Pulse from the exploding Black Asteroid, something which also rendered Super Sonic powerless and Robotnik to be defeated.

Following this, Amy took a similar route to tails and became an underground hero, thwarting injustice all over Mobius and dealing with the likes of Max Gamble, Fabian Vane and Agent X (revealed to her to be a shadow creature called Shayde who was posing as Johnny Lightfoot). Tekno soon joined Amy and the two went off on adventures through space that took them to Earth (eventually leading to Earth invading Mobius, a fight that would have been lost had it not been for the very Planet itself driving the invaders back). The two continued their own adventures, eventually leading them to the Eternity Ring, a sentient transporter not unlike the Omni-Viewer who offered to send the two all throughout time and space on new adventures. They agreed and faced a multitude of weird, wacky and down right outrageous foes, including killer puppets, ignorant future dwellers, prehistoric aliens, Romans and, of course, the opportunistic Max Gamble.

Soon the two returned to Mobius, only to see the Ring Of Eternity destroyed, however it was soon repaired and returned to its full glory. After learning that Sonic had travelled to the micro-universe of Shanazar to hunt down Robotnik, Amy followed to bring him back, however the two became trapped there and had to fight their way through various life-threatening situations to find a way home. This came when Robotnik enlarged Shanazar and merged it with Mobius, creating all new Zones and dimensional tears all over Mobius. Amy and Sonic set off on more Zone-hopping adventures.

This eventually led to Robotnik forming an alliance with the Plax in a bid to absorb and drain life energy from Mobius, something Amy was powerless to stop but which Sonic and Shortfuse put an end to, causing Robotnik to slip into a deep depression at his constant failures. Thus, Grimer released Chaos, a beast which had Amy and the others rooted to the spot with fear, although Johnny gave his life trying to destroy it, Chaos was able to absorb all seven Chaos Emeralds to become Perfect Chaos, which was subsequently defeated by Super Sonic, who absorbed Chaos’s power and became evil once more. Ebony cast a spell which merged Super Sonic and Sonic back into one being and Amy stood with the other Freedom Fighters, safe in the knowledge that although one of their was lost, the Planet was finally safe from tyranny.
