Since according to this FAQ you don't have a lot of STR until as a beginning ROGUE this means that snatcher will have more than enough time to auto steal form most monsters before the bonus from swordmastery has a chance to kill the monster, and since your agi should be high enough to not get killed in the processed. this gives you double drops for sell or even to help gain your equipment. it is also the only guaranteed way to assure you get a drop from those annoying mini bosses and MVP's (later levels). now we start the RAID/INTIMIDATE skill tree STEAL COIN 4 TUNNEL DRIVE 5 BACKSTAB 5 RAID 5 BACKSTAB 10 INTIMIDATE 5 STEAL COIN will help supliment the offset incurred by buying POTIONS from either store NPC's or from merchants vending them at sometimes lower cost. but only use this on non aggressive high level creatures, like clocks or by stealing from someone's monster while they are attacking it next we go to the fun skill TUNNEL DRIVE, while only 2 is needed as a PRE REQUISITE of the RAID skill tree, it is very wise to MAX this stat for easy(?) movement around certain guild castles kind of like how some ASSASSINS abuse CLOAK to scout areas for the EMPERIUM. also this is needed to use raid, as most monsters can not sense hiding, and will ignore you and move away from your spot, making RAID useless. Next, BACKSTAB, whie maxed it does 700% damage, you have to get behind the enemy and activate this skill, It takes only 16 sp which is very cheap for 700% damage as SONIC BLOW costs 34 SP. the Problem of getting behind an enemy still exists, but thanks to gravity's stupidity, as LONG as a monster stays on one tile, where ever it came from is where it's back is located, evemn if it turns around, so, the only thing you have to do, is either learn to walk through the monster, and then activate the skill. (remember we split this skill in half to alot for RAID, so you do not get all 700% at first, but a mere 500% at level 5) After BACKSTAB 5, the MINIMUN REQUIREMENT for RAID is accomplished. This brings us to RAID, the ROGUE'S most cheapest trick, and thanks to the sideffets, best way to abuse skills like BACKSTAB, STEAL COIN, and save thier own ass with INTIMIDATE. RAID's abilities at level 5 are 300% attack, but the main part is the fact RAID has side effects: (25% chance to STUND and/or BLIND) this means that if a character is blind, it has a one cell range, and if it's stunned, it cannot dodge or attack until it wears off or is hit mking it a prime target for BACKSTAB, but with great powers, come great misfortunes: 1. you loose you hidden status 2. obviously not repeatable like ASSASSIN'S GRIMTOOTH 3. Costs 25 SP (a lot for such small damage ratio) (backstab is 16 for upto 700%) 4. you can pop up in a very pised off mob and may not be able to HIDE and TUNNEL DRIVE away 5. does NOT always BLIND/STUN all enemies STRATEGIES to help, but you might be able TO use BACKSLIDE to get away (an extra 7 SP) Use the next skill INTIMIDATE to warp away Pop a FLY WING HIDE again, and repeat or tunnel drive away REMEMBER: VIT and AGI are not mob friendly anymore INTIMIDATE - attack an enemy and teleport with the enemy to a new location, can be used as a poor man's FLY WING, but at level 1 only costs 13 SP and it also does 130% damage, but won't work on MVP. This allows you to escape an angry mob RAID Backfired on, especially since it only costs 13 SP, just over half of RAID's 25 SP need. now for some TRICKS TO LEVEL TRICK 1. - HIDE -> TUNNELDRIVE -> RAID, when you pop up, BACKSLIDE, DIVIDE AND CONQUER TRICK 2. (NO BACKSLIDE) - HIDE -> TUNNELDRIVE -> RAID, pick a weak monster use INTIMIDATE, NO MORE MOB ---------------------------------------- now that we have a SKILL TREE, a SKILL PATH, and reasons to use it, and the ROGUE section out of the way, time to see how to get to be a ROGUE, and that means being a THIEF.
