So you want to submit to GRIMOIRE? Great! We'd love to have your work in our magazine. But, as with every magazine, there are some guidelines we'd like you to keep in mind.
GRIMOIRE, The Magazine of Haunting Terror, is a magazine in the Weird Tales tradition. What does that mean? Well, basically, we are not looking for stories that are just excuses for violence, blood and mayhem. GRIMOIRE celebrates the type of writing and imagination that made Poe, Lovecraft, Machen and Blackwood famous. If you know those names and appreciate what they wrote, then we want to hear from you!
GRIMOIRE is open to new and established writers. We are open to stories of all length from prose poems to novellas. (Please query for manuscripts that are over 7,000 words.) We want to help new voices find their audience so please send us your submissions. We accept both electronic and hard copy submissions.
