The Modern Day Dazzler...

Cyleena Holmes. Student Council Member of Ridgecrest High, Fall Homecoming Queen 2001 of Ridgecrest High, Prom Queen 2002 of Ridgecrest High. Not to mention a members of the respectful Fashion Fair clubs, and "Know Your Hair" comfort groups. But a full-blooded, manifestive, adolescent mutant? Whatever! The last thing on this "Clueless" diva clone's mind, is accepting the superior-type of species she was born as, and accepting the responsibility that goes with it.

A distant relative of the legendary, elegant beauty, Allison Blaire (otherwise known as Dazzler), her abilities are similar to that of her forgotten aunt. She holds the superhuman ability to transduce sonic vibrations which reach her body into various types of light. This ability seems to operate over a great range of frequencies, including the audible spectrum (35 to 16,500 cycles per second), and a great variation of sound pressure levels regardless of the complexity, dissonance, or randomness of the sound. The basic definition: Converting sound waves into light energy. No matter how low ( a soft whisper) or how high ( sonic boom from a jet) the sound is, she can purposely control the amplitude (intensity), direction, and frequency (color) of the brilliant light ray.

But of course, with the advantages of such a power, disadvantages come pouring in. Years of careless attention have caused no real control over the ability the beautiful Cyleena possesses. In this modern world, she is more concerned with shopping in the catalogs of the latest Prada lines than harnessing her light powers. Uncontrollable leaks of light may peer through her skin at times ( of course, living up to the persona of her aunt "The Radiant Disco Dazzler) nor can she control the direction or intensity of her light when she decides to use it. The unfortunate incidents that have resulted from lost of control have led to unintentional harms, on both herself and on others. Sadly, this would arouse anger and violence, which would soon led to the demise of her popularity and the exclusion of her hometown of Ridgecrest.

Beautiful, sweet, radiant, broken. Her home, her life, her future career, gone. Or is it? By the words of Professor Xavier and his established team of elite mutants, the X-Men,her life is just beginning. Taken into those majestic walls of the beautiful estate, a fantastic turn to the path Cyleena at first ignored, help her open those mascara-covered eyes to a whole new experience. Being with others just like her, achieving a broad education, and learning how to harness those abilities she once feared and hated, have sparked a new love into the species homo superior. And not only a love she have taken into herself, but also with her friends Rogue, Bobby Drake, and especially the rebellious John Allerdyce.
