Season One was hard to beat, so this year when Angel wasn't as addictive as last Season I wasn't surprised. I have to admit it did take me awhile to get into this Season, but one thing I did love was the darker persona of Angel. Darla was an interesting comeback, she was one of those characters you love to hate, and her opening to return is sure to be a big factor in seasons to come. The introduction to the main cast of Gunn, was a good idea, but I felt his character wasn't fully stretched to his limits. I also felt that after Cordelia's transition last season we would see a much more caring side to her, which didn't seem to really come across. However the star of the season has to be The Host, funny, engaging and above all just bloody fantastic, he made the season for me (also hearing Angel sing Mandy just tops it). A special four episode close, gave middle of the road storyline a middle of the road end. Angel's expression when he see's Willow in his home, really struck home, and is a an excellent leaving off point for the start of the new season next year.
