Gemini was born and raised in New York, but always had trouble making friends. Jason would never stand up for himself, which is the reason it is believed that his psyche created the other personalities, out of necessity. But the other 3 personalities proved to be troublesome, especially now that Jason had 4 people floating around in his head. But, as if in response, his mutant powers compensated by making him able to spread those personalities over 100 multiples of himself. For instance, if he multiplies himself 80 times, there would be 20 Jasons, 20 Marcs, 20 Jacks, and 20 Johns.

Gemini consulted many different experts on mutancy about his problem. The only information they could offer was the fact that most mutants were able to advance their own powers through practice and discipline. It was believed among them that Gemini would one day be able to control the amounts of each personality that was manifested, and maybe even grow his multiple limit past 100. But they told him that he would need an expert far beyond their own, they would need someone that could have the same predicament, which brought only one person to each of the separate doctors minds.

The mutant scientific community had long rumored about Sizzle's ability to manipulate energy types. Though Sizzle had never confirmed it to anyone, it was thought that he could replicate mutant energies, in effect borrowing their powers, or copying them into himself for a while. They informed Gemini that, if he could enlist the expertise of Sizzle, that Sizzle could teach him how to do all of the things he wanted. Gemini also heard that Sizzle had just started a new team of mutants. Gemini saw only one clear path, and took it to the Alpha Squadron. Unfortunately, the only thing Gemini has been able to learn thus far is that Sizzle CAN duplicate powers, but finds Gemini's tricky to learn anything about. Only time will tell if he can help or not.
