Still stinging from his latest defeat, the Grizzly approached like-minded, second-rate super-villains the Gibbon, the Spot and Kangaroo to form the Spider-Man Revenge Squad - better known as the Legion of Losers. But when the Spot and the Kangaroo set out to rob a bank, the Grizzly and the Gibbon realized that while they desired revenge, crime was not their ultimate aim. Spider-Man fake defeat, allowing the Grizzly and the Gibbon time to return the stolen money. The Spot and the Kangaroo disagreed, but were defeated by the two fledging do-gooders. The Grizzly and the Gibbon briefly joined forces as a vigilante duo, but the Grizzly has since returned to a life of crime.
