About
|
Amruta Patil is a
writer, illustrator and art history fiend, exploring ways to fuse the three
loves seamlessly. After much wandering; and stints as an advertising
copywriter in Mumbai, grad student/ museum gallery lecturer in Boston and
school teacher in Bangalore, Amruta is now based in Goa.
Her debut graphic novel, 'Kari: Hymns of the Grey', commissioned by Penguin India, is due to be released in 2007. Also part of the landscape are a completed first novel, 1999, and a second graphic novel, Parva, based on a 3000-year old mytho-historical epic. Amruta hopes things will end like in the movies. And that likeminded people will gather forces.
