Unlike its parent organization A.I.M., R.A.I.D. seems more apt to sell its advanced technology to the highest bidder; it has less of an ideological interest in controlling society itself. A splinter group of A.I.M. that revolted from that organization’s control of M.O.D.O.K.
R.A.I.D. has taken the lead in trafficking of the recently-discovered energy-manipulating element Iso-8. Recent reports suggest their most active client is a heretofore unknown group known simply as The Syndicate. It is the hope of S.H.I.E.L.D. that agents will be able to discover clues during their engagements with RAID that will shed more light on the goals and membership of this group, and the level of threat it poses to S.H.I.E.L.D. and the world.
