Forecast issued 11.11.01

1st Week
To start with the first week will see a more mobile and milder situation developing. However with a high holding firm over much of Scandinavia a battle will start to occur over the north east corner of Scotland.

2nd Week
As the cold air starts to undercut the systems pushing in from the Southwest the rain will start to turn to snow from the east of Scotland to the Northeast of England. As the week goes on the snow will extend south and west. There will be significant falls of snow across many eastern districts of Scotland and England.


3rd Week
High pressure will extend from Scandinavia to Scotland and Northeast England. It will become windy in the Southeast with a sever chill factor.In much of the Southwest of England and Ireland it will remain milder but with rain at times.There will be snow at times further north and in the Southeast. Much of Scotland and Northern England will be dry and sunny but very cold.


4th Week
Systems will start to effect the Northwest of Scotland and Northern Ireland where it will become milder. Much of the East of Scotland England and Wales will become dry but very cold as the Ridge of high over southern Scandinavia will link with the Azores high. There is likely to be severe frosts and patches of freezing fog in places.
