Gangs are not a new phenomenon. Gangs are no longer just the problem of those who live in the crime ridden neighborhoods where the gangs thrive, they are now everyone's problem. Membership in antisocial youth gangs has grown rapidly in the United States, with current estimates suggesting that more than 650,000 youths are in gangs.
