1 week Stephen King's most imaginative creation, the Dark Tower series, plunges you into a journey where the last gunslinger Roland searches for the nexus of existance--The Dark Tower Stephen King,Dark Tower, Tower, Dark, Jake, Roland, gunslinger, Eddie, Walter, Gilead

Out of all of Stephen King's masterful stories, the Dark Tower is rumored to be the most magnificent of them all. The story centers on the last of the gunslingers, Roland of Gilead, in his search for the mythical Dark Tower. The Tower, which Roland believes is the nexus of all existance, seems to be slowly but surely crumbling. Rushing to find the Tower and save the world (and perhaps even other ones), he struggles to overcome obstacles and prophecies.

In The Gunslinger, we are introduced to Roland, a hardened man with incredible skills in gunmanship. Chasing the Man in Black across an enormous desert, Roland only knows that this man is connected to the Dark Tower.

Along his way, Roland meets a lost boy named Jake, whom, later, will play a larger role than Roland suspects...

In The Drawing of Three, Roland begins a sidequest to find the three doorways the Man in Black had prophisied about.

Each door brings him into a different time and culture of America's New York and each one shows him into the mind of a friend...or a foe.

Travelling with his new companions, Eddie and Susannah Dean, Roland's adventure continues in The Wastelands.

In this desperate journey, two more comrades join Roland's search for the Dark Tower, but their quest soon brings them to the horrifying city of Lud, and the even more horrifying beast within it.

Wizard and Glass tells us of Roland's past and first and only love.

We see Roland's emotional side through this story and how love and hate often went hand in hand throughout his life. Once Roland finishes telling his firends Jake, Oy, Eddie, and Susannah his past, they travel on to find themselves in a mock-setting of The Wizard of Oz. There, they find not a wizard, but something far worse.

In Wolves of the Calla , the group of destiny-bound friends soon find themselves in the middle of crossfire between the town Calla Bryn Sturgis and the Wolves from Thunderclap.

Offering them Black Thirteen, Callahan hopes to trade the ball for the gunslingers' services to fight against the Wolves. Roland's group is wary, though, becuase they soon find out they have to protect a mystical rose from being destroyed in New York, 1977. Only Black Thirteen has the power to aid them, but would they dare use something as dangerously alluring as this magical item?
