I first stepped foot in Colorado for college on August 18, 1992.  Ever since I decided to go to University of Colorado, knowing that I'd be less than an hour from Rocky Mountain National Park, I dreamed of climbing the highest peak in RMNP.  It was never a question of ability, it was motivation (or lack of) that kept me from actually doing it.  Finally, Jason told me that he planned on climbing Longs on Sunday, August 25, 2002.  Mark, Jen, Bill, and Lisa decided to join us and made a group outing of it.  Here is our story:
