Longs Peak: Elevation - 14,255 ft 6/11
The sign at the base of the trail....good news right?
Estes Cone: Elevation - 11,006 ft Same day
Right after we saw that sign, we went to the ranger station to get a map. We asked him how long the climb to the summit of Longs peak would take. He replied with usually between 9-12 hours (it was like 2pm) and right now its still frozen, so we would need ice picks and spiked shoes (we had old running shoes and a backpack with a water bottle in it). The highest peak off that trail was Estes cone, so we went on to conquer that
Nice looking trail
Nice looking stream

After miles through thick forest, we just reach this big field where we can actually see something
Ummm....I don't know what I was looking at here, but maybe if you look closer and longer than me, you might see something really cool...or not
