Accountability Bill for Public Officials

I hereby support the tentatively named "Accountability Bill for Public Officials" to increase the penalties for Public Officials who violate their Oath of Office to "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States".  

For too long Public Servants have shown disregard for their Oath of Office and violated the fundamental Constitutional Rights of Americans.   I believe the following content should be a part of this bill:

Suggested Bill Content -

1. I believe this should actually be an Amendment to the Constitution rather than a Bill/Act.
2. I believe that the penalty for violating the Oath of Office should be increased to a felony.
3. I believe that there should be a "compelling clause"  which would compel an investigation as to the Constitutionality of Legislation upon the receipt of names on a petition.
4. I believe that there should be a clause authorizing a "Citizen's Grand Jury" which would rule on cases of violating the Oath of Office to be selected by state election.
5. I believe that this bill should include all Public Officials who swear the Oath to "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution".
6. I believe that this bill should include all government employees regardless of whether they swear the Oath or not; Federal, State and Local.
7. I believe we need to lobby for a federal Constitutional Convention to get this legislation through.
8. I believe we need to lobby for state Constitutional Conventions to get this legislation through.
