Pastor Belita Mitchell
Belita Mitchell is the pastor of the Harrisburg First CoB in Harrisburg, PA. She is passionate about seeing lives transformed through the power of God. Belita believes that the Church of the Brethren has a unique opportunity to share the gospel of Jesus Christ imaging His model of peace and justice in cities across America. She envisions a multi-ethnic denomination celebrating the unity of diversity in Christ and expanding the kingdom of God in this post-modern age. The mother of three adult children, she and husband Don Mitchell have four grandchildren. She enjoys cooking, travel and spending time with family and friends.
Belita's Family:
Belita's Grandaugher Serenity Mitchell is 13, and in her last year of middle school.She is participating in the youth ministries, and planing on going to work camp this summer.
Belita's youngest child Don V Mitchell is now working at a near by shopping center.He is also apart of the First Church Basketball team that meets every other week at the Christan Life Assembly to play their games.
Brother Don Mitchell , Belita's husband, is also apart in the church.He has plans to join the choir and can also be seen time to time doing the morning Announcements. Before service, brother Don is in the coffee room, geting his morning's coffee and chating with the other church members.
