To Detroit Hub:
Happy New Year everyone!!!!
This is the first candidate for a livery honoring the Detroit Hub of Air Northwest. All painting has been done by Simon Read. We are looking for your input on this. In the coming days I will post more pictures. Once I have all of the candidates, I am going to ask for your opinion on which one to send to management. The livery with the most votes will win. In the meantime, please send me some comments about this livery and let us know if we are on the right track. Thanks.
....And the second candidate....Still painted by Simon Read.....
I have finally gotten weather added to the roster, which was asked for by one of our pilots. Please take a look and tell me if it has enough of the information that you need.
Congratulations to all pilots! We made it through the holiday season with no incidents of any kind. As predicted, our cabins were full and I did not receive a single complaint from any passenger. Way to go!! I hope all of you got more experience with heavier loads.
Doug Adkins has come up with an idea. He is looking for someone to customize our home airport KDTW complete with a terminal to make our flights a little more realistic. If anyone has any interest in trying this, please let me know. I think it would be a great idea.
We have had one pilot start the Capitals Tour during the month of December. As I understand it, he is about half-way complete and still flying. I would encourage all of you to start working on your flight plans and submit them to Larry Spears. It is a nice break from flying the scheduled flights and you get to see some different airports than you are used to. This pilot will start working on the World Tour after a well deserved break from the Capitals Tour.
For any pilots still using version 5.66 X-plane, I would encourage you to visit Simon Read's website where you will find some really nice aircraft that he has worked on. Here is the link: http://www.simonread.co.uk/
Personnel
For the month of December, we lost three pilots. Two were lost due to inactivity and one went on to start his own VA. We wish Evan Richardson the best of luck with his endeavor.
