Recreational Truck plates have been issued for years, however they are un-necessary and redundant. They are supposed to be issued on trucks used for 'recreational purposes.' Of course, most trucks are used for 'recreational purposes,' however many people are unaware of the Recreational Truck plate when getting plates for their "recrational truck," and end up registering it with regular truck plates.

UPDATE: (June 20, 2003) Rec. Truck plates have been discontinued because of their redundancy. I'm trying to pin down the final series of these plates.
UPDATE: (June 24, 2003) I report the last rec. truck series in Code Files as CRK. This is probably not the final series, since it's hard to spot the differences between rec. trucks and normal trucks on the road. I'll keep posting highs as they are seen.
