This is a pretty long series with about 13 books (I don't know which one is missing) and the books on this list I've read are Redwall through Pearls of Lutra. It's by Brian Jacques and it takes place in the fantasy land inhabited by sentient rats, mice, ferrets, badgers, foxes, owls, snakes, other rodents, etc... These books are great for kids in elementary school because there's lots of adventure and the good guys usually win. There is also a large variety of characters ranging from evil to noble to humorous to serious to brave to cowardly. I don't remember any plots but there is a lot of action and it's hard to put the books down. 5 of 5.
