A novel by Bharati Mukherjee and Indian-American woman and her life. It has a strange storyline that oscillates between the distant past and the near past and narrows in on her present. It's very interesting and there's good action to keep your attention. We had to read it for English and it was one of the books I'm glad I read. 4 of 5
