I read this book in English Lit and I didn't think it was that great. It was short but it just didn't have any suspense to keep me reading. The thought of writing about a summer with phony, rich people in the 20's isn't appealing to me. The message it relayed was one I already knew - rich people may seem great superficially, but inside they can be really screwed up. 2 of 5.
