This book by Kathy Tyers is about a new threat to the Rebel Alliance that happens right after the Death Star blows up. Aliens are invading and they use the souls of fallen enemies to power their war machine. An Imperial outpost near the fringe of the galaxy is the first to be hit and our heroes race there to solve the problem. They get there and find they must ally with the Imperials to withstand the alien attack. Once it starts, the action seldom slows and never stops. 4 of 5.
