CASTLEWOOD CANYON
HIKING AT THE CANYON
- On the way to the canyon, I stop to see what the wood carver has done.
- Look closely and see where the porcupine has chewed on one of the trees.
- There is a cactus in bloom.
- When you spot the amphitheater, normally in the background you can see Pike's Peak.
- The fire's smoke has blocked the view.
- In a picture where there is two small stones,
- This would be rhyolite rocks thrown into the canyon....
- From a volcano in southern Colorado.
- There are many juniper trees there.
- The berries were used during prohibition to make...
- An alcohol drink!!
- The ruins there belonged to the first settlers.
- The house was very nice for those days.
