Jimmy, it was just a little drink! Jimmy, it takes the edge off! Jimmy, I'm and adult!
All the same arguments ran through her head as she quickly dumped the remainder of the glass down the drain and cupped her hand under the faucet, rinsing her mouth. She wiped the water from her lips just as Jimmy walked through the doorway, shopping bags in hand.
"Hello, Darlin." He smiled warmly, lovingly, as he dropped the bag on the counter. Moving behind her, he wrapped his arms nearly double around her thin waist, moving in time with her hips. The friction below his waist was quickly sending a long denied scream of passion to his brain.
She's my god damn wife! Don't feel guilty Jim! Don't you dare feel fuckin guilty for wanting your own wife, for christ sakes!
He put his hand over hers forcing her to drop the potato and he spun her to face him. He danced her once around the kitchen and then came to a dead stop as she spoke to him.
"Dinner, honey," she giggled, clamping her lower lip between her ivory white teeth.
As soon as she met his eyes she knew he had noticed. The smell of alcohol on her breath slapped him hard across the face and a block of ice settled into the pit of his stomach, fear.
"Lilly! Why? Why tonight? I thought............"
He got no farther as the doorbell rang.

When the two men walked into the room, Juliana stood up and couldnt help but smile. She hoped she would see him again. And here he was....

She moved from the couch to stand beside Julianna patting her hand lightly, smiling.
"Jimmy? Aren't you going to introduce our guest?" She winked at her husband.

**Be patient, Walker! Let her calm down a bit.**
Minutes later he looked down at his son, now fast asleep. He smiled wishing he could banish all his troubles so easily. He and Rafe had mended their fences after Evelyn. But there was still the residual tension that filled the space between them from time to time. The times that there were lapses in conversation, times when they were both on the verge of being to drunk to care, times when there was the perfect moment that remind them of her. Danny shook his head, the past. That's what it was -- dead and gone. It was the past. Now he would thank God for what he had and find happiness. Pulling a soft blue cottony blanket over Daniel, he left the infant to sleep in peace.
**Now. Go talk to her now. Let her know there is somone who actually cares.**
Danny found himself in the kitchen, leaning against the door frame, causal and relaxed. He watched Marisa go about cleaning the remnants of Daniel's bath. Her movements were jerky and sudden. He could tell she had been crying.
"I'm a good listener," he called, watching her back bone stiffen. "I don't judge, don't offer advise. I just listen."
Danny silently willed her to unburden herself, to trust. She could tell him anything and he knew he would carry the weight on his shoulders willingly.

"Ah, shit! I've tried for years not to do this ... " //
Mike heard Rafe's words but couldn't assimilate them into her mind as quickly as she needed, as quickly as she wanted. Wildly trembling hands clutched at her throat. She couldn't think, couldn't breath. She wasn't even afforded the release of tears. Falling to the sand in front of him, she stared wide eyed.
Long excruciating moments ticked by, not caring that there were two lives on the line. Slowly, the paralyzing shock dulled and in its place was raw, seething hurt, anger running through the vessels of her heart.
"You wondered for so long? Tried not to do this?" She gasped, the tidal wave of emotion washing over her.
"Mike........."
"You have no idea what long is, Rafe! Long is the eternity between 16 and today ... the time that I dreamed of you kissing me like that or, how long I've been in love with you!" It was more than her overwrought mind could handle and she hurled herself at him, raining ineffectual blows against his chest.
"You did this to me! You made me watch you with HER! And now you say you have feelings!" Her hair flew wildly around her face, not seeing, not caring as she continued to pummel the hard wall of his chest.
"Do you know what that did to me? DO YOU?" she screamed, her voice rising above the crashing surf.
"Mike, just let me explain.....Try to make..."
"Every time you kissed her, every time you whispered something just for her, and the times that the two of you used my guest room ... I died just a little knowing I'd never have that, that I'd never have what she had." Her last words worked a spell on her, taking her beyond conscious thought ... beyond what was right and wrong. She wanted him to see just what she had been reduced to. Rafe laying prone in the sand had instinct leading her actions. She pulled away from him and before he could sit up in the sand she was straddling his crotch. Hitching up her skirt, she began to grind down on him. The wetness at the juncture of her gripping thighs began to soak between them.
"Is this what she did for you, Rafe? Did she give you what you needed?" She hissed, her eyes alight with a far away glow. Then suddenly she slapped him hard across the cheek. Tears finally spilled in a torrent down her cheeks, sobs racking her slender shoulders.

"It's nothing, really, Danny." She turned and gave a tense smile as she leaned against the sink, fingers fiddling with the tie on her floral midriff shirt. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to behave so emotionally."
He moved toward her and leaned a hip on the small brunch table in front of him.
"No need to apologize." He smiled. "We all have things that make us emotional. Look at me and Rafe? We have a lot of serious emotional problems. But there's one other thing that we have ... each other to talk to." He stood, moved to her, and touched her arm, which he instantly felt stiffen. "So do you, Marisa. You have me to talk to. And I swear to you, no one else will know what you tell me in confidence."
She sighed and fell into a chair, suddenly uncertain of how long her legs would keep her upright.
"I experienced the memories all of a sudden. Sometimes I get them and it scares me. The only way that I can control that fear is to turn off emotions. The only way to do that is to purge them first. That's why I behaved like that."
He looked concerned ... genuinely concerned, as he sat across the table from her. "Memories of what, Marisa?"
She nibbled her bottom lip and looked up at him from under lowered lashes before speaking.
"Memories of my marriage, Danny. Memories of my ex-husband." She looked directly in his eyes, shame and regret competing for position on her face. She knew what society thought of divorced women. But she took a deep breath and admitted the awful, humiliating truth.
"I'm a divorcee."

"Mike ... shhhhh ... let it out."
He cringed at each sob he heard ... each tremble he felt from her body. "I never wanted this, Mike."
The tears started afresh. "I know, Rafe. God, do you think I don't know."
"Listen," he almost begged. "I never wanted to hurt you. Don't you understand that?" He buried his face in her neck, trying to articulate how he felt. "You've always been such a huge part of my life. I've never ... NEVER... wanted to do anything to jeopardize that. I mean, shit ... how would I function without you in my life?"
He pulled her tighter to him. Damn! He certainly did not handle women well. No matter how much he cared about them. It seemed the more he loved them ... the more he hurt them.

"Doo, sugar ... you need any help?" Her warm, southern accent ran through his system. She moved behind him to peek over his shoulder and assess his progress. He closed his eyes, reveling the feeling of her warm hips innocently pressed against his backside.
"Nah, darlin'. I have everything under control."
She reached over and grabbed a piece of cheese and moved to lean against the counter beside him, whispering conspiratorially. "Isn't is wonderful, Doo? Those two look at each other like ... like ..."
Like we used to, he wanted to scream.
"Yeah. I know." He chuckled. "It's the tropical air, I guess."
She slapped softly at his arm. "Behave, Doo!" She grinned. "It's being young, and impetuous ... you remember that."
He stared straight into her eyes. "Yeah, Lily. I do."
She blushed and looked down. He smiled a slightly tired smile and put the plate of cheese and crackers in her hand. Leaning down, he kissed her cheek softly. Closing the shield to the slide through, his mouth slowly began a heated trail down her neck and she lifted her chin encouragingly. Slowly, methodically, his mouth slid the neckline of her dress, his tongue flicking out teasingly. And then he forgot himself. His hand moved to cup her breast, his finger sliding inside the material and caressing a tightly puckered nipple. He felt it the instant she stiffened, her hand moving to his.
"Jimmy, no. We ... we have company."
His well practiced, forced smile fell into place.
"Here, darlin'. You take these into the guests. I'll be out in a minute."
She wrinkled her nose at him and grinned. "Don't be long, sugar!"
She disappeared out the doors and he leaned against the counter, rubbing his face with his hands. How long? How long would this go on?

Danny heard her confession and didn't even bat an eye. He know what it was like to be an outcast, whispered about and pointed at. His family hadn't exactly been the most upstanding people in the county when he was a kid so that made it damn impossible for him to be shocked are angered by her words.
"That all? Here I was thinking you were some Bonnie and Clyde type. You haven't robbed any banks I should know about have you?"
She shook her head briskly, her eyes down cast. Danny inwardly cringed as her cheecks took on a stain of bright red. The last thing he'd meant to do was embarrass her. He only wanting to make her feel more at ease, more comfortable.
"Marisa, I'm sorry.......I didn't mean to.......I just don't think it's a bad thing. I know as well as anyone when two people don't truely love one another they shouldn't be tied together forever," he tried to explain, tripping and stumbling over the words. "Mind if I ask why you got divorced?"
BY:Loria
"Mike?" He hissed, tilting his head slightly giving her better acess for the assult on his skin.
"Ummmm......." she breathed, rocking against the straining bulge below her.
"I don't want to loose ya. I can't loose ya..........." He tried to explain the heart ache that gripped him.
"I'm right here, Rafe. I'll always be right here. We always been together. I can't even remember a time when we weren't. That's the way it's always going to be. I love you, Rafe. Always have, always will." Delicate hands slid up to brush at the back of his hair. Lifting her head she met his questioning gaze. "Make love to me, Rafe." Her voice was a breathless plea. "I need you now. I need you inside me."
BY:Loria
"Marisa, it's a horrible thing to loose a child. I can't even imagine the pain but I do know that you're not alone. Here, with us, we're never alone. That includes you, too. And maybe you'll never have another baby, maybe you will. But right now, right here, Daniel needs you." He slowly pulled her into the stronge circle of his arms, stroking her thick tresses as she cried.

He smiled back and said "it was my pleasure. Its not often I get to help a beautiful woman."
Juliana blushed. James noticed this and knew that he affected her. Man how he wanted to ask her out.
"Would you, um, be interested in having dinner sometime?" he asked.
"That would be great." she replied.
"How does tomorrow night sound?"
"Sounds perfect."
"Great, I will pick you up at 7?"
Juliana nodded as their hosts came back out into the living room..............

"Dinner is just about ready," she announced, sitting the tray she carried on the coffee table in front of her.
"So, I would imagine there are a few things the two of you have in common."
BY:Loria
James smiled back and said "Yeah, quite a bit actually." He leaned forward and poured the three of them some coffee. He turned back to Juliana. "Hey, you said you wanted to fly, right?" Juliana nodded. "What is I told you that I know of a plane we can take up?"
"Really? You're kidding right?" she said, excitedly.
"Nope, my buddy Danny has a plane, Im pretty sure we could borrow." said James.
"That would be great." she said, smiling. Juliana turned towards Lilly. "I'm sorry Mrs. Doolittle, we didnt mean to ignore you."

A loud sob ripped from her lips as he lifted her from him and stood. He went down to one knee, his hands moving to her wrists to lower her hands from her face. He had to smile gently at the look of pain and embarassment in her eyes. Shit, did she really think he was going to refuse her? In one fluid movement he slid his arms between her and the sand, scooping her delicate body into his strong, muscular arms and standing. She struggled slightly until his soothing, southern words calmed her.
"Shhhh, darlin'," he whispered into her ear, his cheek brushing hers. "I'm taking you home." His voice became husky and deep as he walked, easily transporting her in his arms. "I need you, Mike."
The hike to her house seemed a lifetime ... but finally he threw open the door. Crossing the room, he moved directly to her bedroom and kicked the door closed behind them, ignoring the confused looks of Danny and Marisa.
Moving to the bed, he gently lay her on the soft matress, reveling at the way her body instictively settled into the middle of it, waiting impatiently for him to come to her. Her wait was not long lived.
In little more than an instant, he was moving his body to stretch on top of her, his hard, masculine torso covering her soft, feminine one. Her hips rose slightly into the air as his mouth attached to her neck and trailed his hot, moist mouth down the curve of it to stop at the sensitive skin that covered her collar bone. His teeth pulled at the skin and he sucked focefully, enjoying the feeling of her body moving underneath his.
Words were unnecessary at the moment ... instinct and passion took over. His hands moved immediately to begin removing her clothes. He wanted to do it slowly, erotically ... but his passion, mixed with her undulation, caused him to work quickly and with extreme intensity. The moment her beautiful breasts were exposed to him, he allowed his cheek to graze them ... the light stubble he'd accumulated feeling rough and prickly on her flawless skin. A moan escaped her as he turned his head, his teeth pulling a taut, tightly puckered nipple into his mouth and sucking ravenously.
His hand moved in a line down the column of her stomach to inch lower, his fingers finding the damp, heated thatch of down at the apex between her thighs. Gentle, put persistant fingers separated the folds of her core, one finger sliding inside her with amazing ease.
"Jesus, Mike," he whispered in muffled tones from the valley between her breasts. "You're so ready."
"Rafe," she ground out as her her hands explored the ripple of muscles along his back to end at the perfectly formed flesh of his ass. "I've been ready for you since practcially the beginning."
Her words were not lost on him, but the throbbing in his groin was such an aching disraction that he could hardly think. His mouth took hers in a searing, passionate kiss as his body prepared to meld hers.

Lilly offered up an indulgent smile to Juliana, remembering what it was like for the two young people just finding each other.
"Oh please, don't apologize. Your conversation is quite enough to keep me entertained."
She glanced over her shoulder as she saw Jimmy coming back into the living area, stopping beside her chair to briefly caress her shoulder. She tensed with the first strong touch and then began to relax. She look up at him with an apologetic sheen in her eyes. How had she gotten so lucky? She mused as he leaned down and kissed her lovingly on the cheek.
"I love ya, darlin," she whispered.
BY:Loria
As he listened to the young lovers in front of him, the slight ache in his groin began. He thought briefly of how life used to be when he and Lilly were first married. They would be pushing guests out the door to be able to fly into the bedroom ... tearing at clothes and aching to join together. Life was different now. He loved Lilly and would never leave her. But he had slowly come to realize that his commitment to the love of his life meant the absence of marital intercourse. And that was so hard for him. How could he look at her without becoming aroused? Without wanting to be one with her?
With an inward sigh, he gazed at Lilly, who was entranced with the guests. His Lilly. Jesus, he loved her. He shook the thoughts from his head and returned his attention to the dinner party.

"You're shakin, Mike. You scared? We can stop if....." he whispered against her lips.
"NO!" She practically screamed, grinding her hips slowly against his. "A little scared but, I don't wanna stop. Please Rafe, don't stop."
His lips met hers in a frenzied flesh on flesh dance, pulling her small wet tounge into his mouth and sucking gently. He moaned with the wash of lust that pulled at him.
Closer! Closer! Gotta get closer!
His body was screaming as he pushed away from her and stood beside the bed. Shaking hands fumbled with the buttons of his shirt. When he finally gave up on finesse, he jerked it open, tugging it from the waist band of his trousers.
Mike whimpered at the lose of contact with him. Turning her head, she watched him shed his clothes. Her eyes feasted on every inch of exposed flesh.
"Hurry!"
Her urgent whisper spured him on as he unzipped his trousers and pushed them over his hips, followed by his boxers. He stood there for a moment, his pulsing cock jutting upwards.
Mike's breath came in short little hitches as she got the first real look at him since he was sixteen. He was still a boy back then but fully a man now. She smiled, lifting her hand to him, urging him back to the bed. He came forward to her, his knees against the edge of the bed. With unsure fingers she began to trail caresses along his length, the flesh bobbing at her touch. She watched in amazed excitment as Rafe let his head fall backwards and moaned softly. Gently pushing her hand away, he eased onto the bed. Poised above her he lowered his head once more and captured an erect nipple, suckling at the fiery skin. Her hands roamed down his back kneading skin and muscle as she went.
"Rafe, feels sooo good!" she whispered.
"Mike, are you sure? I want you...." he asked, seating himself between her thighs. The tip of his hardness pressed against her opening.
"I want this, Rafe! Wanted it for so long!" She was near screaming with need. He buried his face against her neck sucking and lapping, pushing into the tight canal of her body. Pushing in until he felt the thin barrier that blocked his way. She whimpered below him and he withdrew slightly and shoved forward, capturing her lips and absorbing her pained scream. She was his now, his and no one elses. The burning pain enveloped Mike causing her to stiffen under Rafe, breath lodged in her throat. She'd heard how painful her first time would be. Had had 'THE TALK' with Rafe's mother when she was seventeen. But nothing had prepared her for this as tears gathered at the edges of her eyes and coursed down her cheeks.
"I'm sorry, Darlin! It'll pass soon and it'll feel good. I swear," he whispered in her ear. "Breath, for me."
Slowly the waves of pain began to receed and the unique sensation of being completely filled replaced it. She began a slow squirm against him and tiny little gasps tumbled from her lips. Rafe knew that as his cue to move, to set up a slow rhythm of withdrawing and entering her tight sheath. He was being squeezed mercilessly which made it near impossible to hold onto any semblence of control.
"I love you, Mike. God, I've always loved you. Always wanted you like this. Thought about being inside you so many times," he ground out with each increasing thrust.
She heard every word he said but the spiral of pleasure she was riding was lifting her towards a heady drop and that was her sole destination. Her hips bucked against him as her body pulled at his, the sound of flesh against flesh filling the room around them.
"Rafffffeeee! Please!" she screamed, her back arched as wave after clenching wave rolled though her core. Rafe, above her, slammed into her molten core again and again feeling the delicious spasming around his shaft. "OHHHHH! YESSSSS! DAMN, MIKE!" he shouted as he pushed into her for the last time. His seed jetted into her eager body, filling it with hot sticky fluid. He clutched the sheets beside her head as the his body purged itself. Lifting his head, he took her lips in a softened, sated kiss, convaying all the love in his heart. Mike ran her tongue along the sensitive edges of his lips and smiled against his lips. Opening her eyes, she saw what she already felt. He was exhausted, his limbs heavy and sweat-sheened. She ran her hands through the hair at his temple.
"You'll stay with me tonight?"

The words Danny had spoken kept repeating in Marisa's ears. Almost instantly after hearing them, her tears were dried and she pulled herself together and detached herself from his comforting embrace. It was a good thing, too, since Rafe chose that moment to carry Mike off to her bedroom like some late night Casanova.
Now, as Marisa prepared a late night cup of tea for herself and Danny, she realized the full impact of his words. Daniel needs you. She was a good nurse. It was the only thing that she had ever been good at. She would never be a good wife. Never be a good lover. And now that her secret was out, she would be looked on with pity for the duration of her stay when it came to men. But she would certainly make sure that Daniel had the best care that he possibly could.
She brought the steeping tea to the table and put a mug beside him. She smiled nervously at Danny. "It's fairly intense, isn't it? With Mike and Rafe, I mean."
Danny nodded as he cupped his hands around the steaming mug. "I guess we'll have a pretty big talk in the morning." He looked at her seriously. "Are you okay, Marisa?"
She plastered her best, professional smile as she poured herself tea and sat opposite him at the table. She gazed into the amber liquid. "I'm fine, Danny. Really. I'm sorry that you had to see me like that. I mean, I'm glad I told you ... but there was certainly no need for all that dramatic fanfare." She looked in to his eyes, grateful for the concern, but saddened knowing that was only look she'd ever receive from a man again after revealing her story. She held back the anguish and gave him a dazzling smile. "Thank you, Danny. Truly. Thank you for being so sweet."
She returned her attention to adding sugar to the liquid, trying to forget how wonderful it felt to be encircled by male arms ... terrified by the thought of being maliciously trapped in male arms again.
