Welcome to Jerry's Project Camaro Page

After I re-enlisted in the U.S. Navy in January 2000 and got a rather large bonus for doing so, I bought this 1973 Camaro Z28 from my Mom. It had been her car since 1976 (the year I was born). I bought it with the intention of restoring it to origional condition. When I bought it, it had been sitting for nearly 10 years. It ran, and drove well when I bought it, but shortly after transferring to Bremerton, WA for Shore Duty in 2001, I rented a house with a garage, parked the car there, and began taking it apart for "frame off" restoration. It has been a slow process - other interests and issues have gotten in the way, but recently I've been working on it a lot more.

As of June 2004, the car is very nearly completely disassembled. Many people at work and at home have expressed interest in following my progress, so I've rebuilt this old webpage of mine and dedicated it completely to "Project Camaro".

The site is still under construction, and will be so as long as the Camaro is "under construction". Special thanks to my co-worker Melissa, who loaned me her digital camera so that I can easily add photos.

Last Update: June 10, 2004
With a little planning and a floor jack, a bottle jack, 4 tires, and 2 jack stands, I was able to get the car onto it's side with very little effort on my part. I can now finally begin sanding the underbody.
