This
is a season to be celebrating the God who created the fabulous colors we
see in the fall.
A
large part of this celebration is, of course, done in praise to our Father!
Another
necessary part is to renew our commitment in the spiritual battles we face
here.
It's
time to remember the real enemy, and take inventory of our individual preparedness
for this battle. This is not a time to make light of the evil in
our world, but perhaps time to realize what is at stake. Once anyone
becomes desensitized to satan's evil, it is easy for him to distract us
- even Christians- from the real battle. How fair are we being to
our children to once a year let them pretend to be evil ( Freddy, vampires,
witches, etc) and to be rewarded for it? How fair is it for them
to hear "Oh, isn't that cute?" from perfect strangers who will hand them
treats for looking evil? How fair are we being to once a year let
them believe evil is not really evil, but a game?
My
heart aches for the children....I see the way they are dressed and I wonder
how we ever got to this place! The childhood of many people has been
destroyed by adults who took this evil seriously enough to worship it.
And yet, we allow our children to believe evil is not for real. We
leave them open to satan and his lies!
This
halloween, I will be praying for those children who are being lied to.
I
will also be praying for the children who will be subjected to satanic
rituals on Halloween night, and for the children who have survived other
halloween nights of terror. I am asking you to give thought to this also
and to join me in these prayers.
There
are numerous people struggling to overcome what has happened to them in
the past , and there will be more. But if God's people are praying,
there will be many more victorious!

And
when I am praying, I will be praising God for what He has brought many
of us through from past abuse. I will be praising Him that He is
the victor over evil, and that He has provided a way for everyone of us
to be victorious! I will be praising Him and thanking Him for loving
us enough to send His precious Son to suffer for my sins. I will
be praying for forgiveness for the times I have allowed myself to be deadened
to the seriousness of the evil in this world, and have made light of it.
OH, how that must hurt Him!
Can
you imagine the pain in His heart to see us dressing our children (and
ourselves) up as a creature that satan has inspired? His children,
dressing up as the very evil that He sacrificed His Son for!
Please
join me in pray and in preparing for battle!
And
then let us praise Him for all He is and all He has done, and all He will
be doing in our lives!

Put
on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's
schemes.
For
our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against
the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the
spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Therefore
put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may
be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
Stand
firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate
of righteousness in place,
and
with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of
peace.
In
addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish
all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
Take
the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word
of God.
And
pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.
With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
