1974 Cathy Robbins Dibene
1956 - 2016

Cathy Diane Dibene, 59, left her earthly body on July 17, 2016.

She married her high school sweetheart in 1976 and began building her family. In 1989, with three young children, she was diagnosed with brain cancer and given a guarded prognosis for survival. Over the last 27 years, throughout her initial fight, complications from treatment, remission and her recent relapse, she remained a positive and faithful follower of the Lord and the Roman Catholic Church in her journey. She lived each day to the fullest, enjoying her love of music, reading, crafting and laughter.

Cathy modeled strength, determination, courage and faith for all who crossed her path.

Cathy was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Robert Martinez Dibene, Jr. of Colorado Springs, Colorado; her parents, Jack and Lorene Robbins of Winnetka, California; her sister, Vicki (Jerry) Fenske of Sonoma County, California; her three children, Brian, 38, (Helen), Christine, 33, (Kim), and Natalie, 31, (Sean); and nine grandchildren.

Visitation, 5:00PM-7:00PM, with a Rosary at 7:00PM, Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado, 80909.

Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00AM, Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 5354 South Highway 85/87, Security, Colorado 80911.

Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.

The family requests, in lieu of flowers, a donation be made in Cathy's memory to the National Brain Tumor Society (www.braintumor.org) to help the thousands of individuals who fight brain cancer on a daily basis.
