Once upon a time, not too long ago, but some years ago.... I was cleaning house, while my daughters made themselves busy elsewhere. (What?! They weren't helping me??? Why on earth would they do a thing like that???) Anyway, there I was cleaning the bathroom when what should meet my eyes, but 3 HUGE spiders (some garden variety, none poison, I'm sure), in my bathtub. Now I have nothing against spiders, on a day to day basis. Contrarily, I am rather fond of them and would usually just move them outside. But, it was winter, and they would have died outside, so what else could I do? I began rinsing them down the drain with lethally hot water, to make a quick end of them. Just then my daughter called for my attention. "MMMMMMOOOOOMMMM.....what are you doing? Are you busy?????" she needed my assistance on her homework. My reply was, "Killin' spiders." The phase echoed around in my otherwise unoccupied brain, as many phases sometimes will, and I mused to myself, "sounds like the name of a rock & roll band, will have to remeber that, if I ever need such a thing.
Some time (a year or two) later, I finally got a computer, and sometime after that, I finally gained access to the internet. I had used a couple different ISPs, and had not been too thrilled with any of them, so i switched around a bit. I had also been using several different screen names, such as who_me, and yeah_you, avoiding my real name for safety's sake. But as I was setting up my new ISP, I found that all my favorite names were "already in use", the ISP suggested several variations on the names I had chosen, all with numbers behind them. Anyone who knows me probably also knows that I have an aversion to using numbers as identification, I do not like my address posted on my home, and disapprove of being forced to use my SS# for most any reason at all. Obviously the ISP's sugestions just wouldn't do. "I need something very original" I thought to myself " If I were a singer, what would would I call my band??? Bing, the light buld flashed in my mind, and I have been Killinspiders ever since.
And they all lived happily ever after!
