A Poem By

If I left you, would you miss me?
If I went away
would you regret?
All those times you treated me wrong?
all those times we resorted to threat?

Am I deep within your heart?
A brightly vivid memory?
Or am I buried beneath your mind
like a faded dead insignificant leaf?
Have you, after such a short time, left me behind?

Although you forget
you've put me behind
in the world of your far too past
you must remember
the place you're in will always be mine
a world so wonderful, so vast

but if you remember
or if you forget
if you have sorrows and regrets
if you think you could have done better
in the time we shared
you're wrong

because

in my heart
you'll always be
more than just a memory
