Temptation
Chapter 1
By Katie
"Nick, hurry up and get ready, she'll be here soon." Jane ran around the house trying to do some last minute cleaning up. Everything had to be perfect. Nick rolled his eyes.
"Why are you trying to make the house perfect for HER?" Jane stopped what she was doing and looked up and Nick.
"I want everything to look good. Do you want her to come here and think we're slobs? I do not want her thinking that of us. Now hurry up and get dressed. Everyone is downstairs waiting for you." She walked away leaving Nick standing in his room glaring at her retreating form.
Why would they want to impress her? It's because of her mother that his parents had been fighting the last months. It's because of her that his family had been a mess. It was all because of HER.
Nick changed into a pair of khakis and a button up baby blue shirt. Walking towards the stairs, he passed by Angel's room. Peeking his head in, he saw her in some sort of trance.
"Hey Angel, what's up?" She shook herself out of her trance and looked up at him, smiling.
"Oh hey Nick. Not much, just thinking."
"About?" He asked walking into the room and sitting on the bed.
"Her."
"What about her?"
"I'm afraid to meet her Nick. How weird is it to find out that you have another sister? A sister you never knew about and then all of a sudden...poof! She exists."
"I know what you mean Angel. But we have to deal with this."
"Why did Dad do it though?"
"I'm not sure. Come on, we better go. Mom's gonna have a fit if we're not down there to greet her." The two stood up and walked downstairs to meet their sister. Wow, a sister. As if having Ginger wasn't enough, they now had a half sister as well. Were there anymore siblings in this family they didn't know about?
They never even knew about her until about four months ago. Jane was cleaning out Bob's office and found a letter from a lady named Sue. Enclosed in the letter was a picture of a baby and a birth certificate stating that Bob was the father of Jace Elizabeth Robbins. Which meant that Bob had cheated on Jane.
After that, Bob and Jane had spent months constantly fighting. She almost left him even. But about three months later, they worked everything out in time to find out that Jace was moving to Florida.
So tonight, they were all meeting her for the first time. She was going to have dinner and stay with them for a couple days while her house was getting finished up.
There was a knock on the door and Jane looked at everyone, smiling nervously before opening the door. "Hello, you must be Jace."
"Yes, Jane?"
"Yeah. Come in come in." Jace walked in and Nick got a good look at her. She was tall, about 5'9" or so. Her strawberry blond hair bounced lightly upon her shoulders and her emerald green eyes sparkled in the light. Her skin was a soft, creamish color and her lips were perfect.
Nick sucked in a breath while looking at her. All hostility he had been feeling towards her before, quickly diminished. For there was no denying that Jace, his half sister, was absolutely gorgeous.
