Teaching/Training Skills
  • Working towards an advanced teaching certificate through two semesters of being a teacher's assistant for Colorado State University's advance English riding classes with Heather Schoning, Equine Science Instructor
  • Started two 1 1/2 year old Quarter Horse fillies, preparing them for Western events as a college course. Personally focused on restraing free training methods. Trained to lead, drive, lunge, stand quietly for shoeing, move quietly under rider, and give and follow the bit with light contact
  • Aided in starting horses over fences, and flat work training of young hunter/jumpers
  • Assisted in the instruction of over 500 drum major students in conducting techniques and leadership skills at the Bands of America Camp in IL
  • Worked with elementary and junior high student through substitute teaching for the Deer Park Independent School District, Deer Park, TX
  • Attended multiple leadership workshops through band, learning leadership methods that are valuable for any leadership positions
  • Trained new staff for different chef positions at Johnny Carino's Italian Kitchen
