Shamshel is the second Angel comes to challenge Humanity. Unlike Sachiel, Shamshel can float in the sky and he got no hands and legs. Shamshel only have a pair of pink color laser whips and he shaped like a cross between a squid and a caterpillar. Shamshel is about the same height as Evangelions but the size of Shamshel is bigger than Evangelions. Both of his laser whips can use as blade to cut off anything.

In Episode 3, we find that the attacking power of Shamshel is lower than Sachiel. We believed that Shamshel A.T.Field is very very weak. That's why Shinji can easily break his red core. Same as the other Angels, Shamshel's main weakness is the red core on his body. After the battle with Shinji, Shamshel's red core has break and become a sample use to develop the Mass Production Model EVA.
