GAIL LAURENCE, TRIATHLETE Gail Laurence has been a member of the U.S. National Team for the last three years and has also been in the top three of the U.S. ranking over the same period. In 1995, she represented the U.S. team at the Pan American Games in Argentina and won a silver medal for the USA. Gail Laurence races in the International Union's (ITU) World Cup Series and is currently ranked 6th in the World. Since the criteria for prequalifying for the Olympic Games 2000 include being on the top 50 of the World Cup rankings, Gail will continue to race the series in order to achieve her Olympic dream.
