Sociability - Their common name of humbug or talking catfish is due to their ability to 'buzz' when disturbed
Breeding - ?
Temperament - territorial towards other catfish invading their chosen cave but not aggressively so
Comments – shy and reclusive fish... just about the only time i can spot them is when i tear the tank down ( and even then you have to watch that becuase they have a habit of locking theur fins inside their cave and being removed with decoration - so always place rocks from their tank into a bucket and inspect carefully so as not to strand the fish) ... occasionally i catch a glimpse of the tail sticking out of a hole or disappearing into a crack when i first turn the light on
Personal Experience - I purchased a pair of there for the gold saum's tank and have only seen them occasionally since ... sometimes forget i have these fish ... so this is one of those species where you want to save the receipt as just about the olny physical evidence you can see to remind you that you have them
