Personal Experience - Stumbled onto a 99cent sale of these at a LFS - apparently someone local had a spawn they traded in - got 15 and plopped them into a 29g to grow out with a small handful of celebes rainbows that shop also had - things were going well until the CNYAS auction where i got a bag of 5 juvie jaguar cichlids for $2 - needing space i put them into the 29 with the rainbows until they started to get mean - BIG MISTAKE - jaguars are BORN mean - sigh lost the celebes over night and had to move the praecox (minus a couple) to another tank - lesson learned = jags are MEANER than reputed at a MUCH smaller age than ANY other CA
