Interlude #1
It is 30 years after the destruction of the second Death Star. Battles have been fought, friends and enemies were made, and many people have died because of the Galactic Civil War. Now, after a long, hard fight, the New Republic is peacefully controlling the galaxy. All the damage done on Courscant has been completely rebuilt. The other worlds that were damaged in the fighting are being restored now. The Empire’s damage has all but vanished.
On Yavin 4 the Jedi Academy is flourishing. Over a 29 year period the Jedi Academy, led by Master Skywalker, has produced close to 500 fully trained Jedi Knights. Only 4 have turned to the dark side. Two were killed and the other two were turned back to the light. Now there are 277 young Jedi striving to complete their training in the Force.
The President of the New Republic, Leia Organa Solo and her husband, Han Solo are still happily married. Their three children have all graduated from the Jedi Academy and all went their separate ways upon graduation. Jaina and her Jedi friend Zekk live together comfortably in the Republic Palace on Courscant. Jacen and his friend and Jedi Knight, Tenel Ka Djo are taking a long, relaxing vacation as they travel the galaxy in search of new trainees for the Jedi Academy. Anakin, the most powerful of the Solo children, has decided to spend his time with his Uncle Luke training the new Jedi at the Academy.
Back during the times of the Rebellion, the Empire was the most powerful fighting force ever known. All that is left of the glory days of Imperial power is a group of ships and a fanatical self-proclaimed Grand Moff who is too stubborn to know when he has been beaten. (The size of the task force is unknown at the time but it is considered unimportant due to lack of resources) Grand Moff Rersa is hiding somewhere out in the middle of nowhere on the edge of the Outer Rim. Finding his insignificant group is at close to the bottom of the New Republic’s priority list.
Emperor Palpatine is forever gone. There aren’t any Grand Admirals left. Almost every world in the known Galaxy is a member of the New Republic now. The Empire is dead, a memory soon to forgotten. Pirates, bounty hunters, and crazy warlords are the only real threats the New Republic has to deal with now. The Jedi are strong once again and will protect the New Republic against any feeble attack the Imperials or anyone else can conjure up.
As you can see, the SWORPG takes place about 30 after The Battle of Endor. Only the books and comics in the list below are what has actually happened in the SWORPG universe. Anything else simply didn't happen. Don't even ask to change it. The only way it'll change is if I decide to read the book (or whatever it is). Also, if I need to change an event that happened in the book (or whatever it is) those notes are out to the side of the book's entry in the list.
I had orginally intended to set the game about 10 years after Endor
but decided against it so not to intefere with the books and comics. Every novel and comic listed above, and any
video game, or source book is fair game here. As always, if you have any questions,
