THIS IS ONE LESSON ON THE WISDOM THAT CAN BE YOURS.
Isaiah 11:2The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon
Him,The Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
the Spirit of counsel andmight, The Spirit of knowledge and
the fear of the Lord.
Jesus relied upon the Holy Spirit
to direct Him as He made crucial decisions and faced relentless opposition
(Mark 1:12).
At
once the Spirit sent him out into the desert
Isaiah described centuries earlier
what the Spirit's presence would mean
for the Savior. The Spirit would giveJesus the knowledge
of the will and the ways of the Father. As a young boy, Jesus already had
an unusual knowledge of God's word.
(Luke 2:47)
Everyone
who heard him was amazedat his understanding and his answers.
The Spirit gave Him the wisdom
to use this knowledge. And the Spirit enabled Him to take
the word of God and apply it effecively to the specific needs
of those He encountered. The same Spirit abides in you if
you are a Christian. At time you may even find yourself God
to send you the Spirit in power. That is, of course,
the only way the Spirit comes! More importantly, though, the Spirit comes
in wisdom, bringing the understanding of
God's ways. You need God's wisdom for the decisions
you face.
Rom 11:33
Oh, the depth of the riches
of the wisdom and knowledge of God!How unsearchable his judgments, and
his pathsbeyond tracing out!
God may have placed you in
a position of great responsibility, and you find yourself overwhelmed with
the
decisions you must make. It could
be your role as a parent, or friend, or leader where you find you
long for the wisdom of God. The same Spirit
who enabled Jesus to see through the deceptions of Satan will also guide you through the tmptations that confront you.
Pray that God will fill you with His Spirit
of wisdom so that you may live your life effectively
through your decisions. I love how it says it in "The Message":
In one way or another, God makes sure
that we will all experiencewhat it means to be outside so that
he can personallyopen the door and welcome us back in. Have you ever come on anything
quite like thisextravagant generosity of God, this
deep, deep wisdom? It's wayover our heads. We'll never figure
it out. Is there anyone around who can
explain God?Anyone smart enough to tell Him
what to do?Anyone who has done him such
a huge favor that God has to ask his advice?Everything comes from him;Everything happens through him;Everything ends up in him.Always glory! always praise! Yes. Yes. YesRom 11:33-36

What more could we hope for to help us through this life!?
Wisdom comes to us with our choice to allow
the Holy Spirit to live in us.
Why would we not???
