  • Body- Greyish-brown fur
  • Ribbing- Fine gold wire
  • Wing-case- Light-grey goose or duck quill segment
  • Thorax- Greyish-brown fur
  • Hackle- Brown partridge
  • Head- Olive

    Dragonfly Larva

  • Hooks- Down-eyed 8-12 long shank
  • Thread- Black
  • Tail- Spikey goose quill fibres dyed olive
  • Body- Mixed brown and green wool, brown predominating
  • Ribbing- Yellow or green silk
  • Hackle- Brown partridge
  • Head- Peacock herl

    Gold-ribbed Hare's ear (American)

  • Hooks- Down-eyed 10-14 long or short shank
  • Thread- Black or brown
  • Tail- Hare's fur
  • Body- Same as tail
  • Rib- Oval gold wire
  • Wing-case- Dyed black turkey tail or goose-wing quill
  • Thorax- The longest fibres of hare's body fur
