• Association of Blind Piano Tuners - Exists to serve the professional and particular needs of its members and other blind and partially sighted piano tuners throughout the world.
• Blindcare - An equal partnership of nine different UK based charities raising funds through payroll giving.
• Blind Mobility Research Unit - Based at Nottingham University, the BMRU has maintained an international reputation in visual impairment research since the mid-1960s.
• Brighton Society for the Blind - Provides a programme of welfare, education, training, recreation, counselling and care services of such high quality as to encourage blind and visually impaired people to develop their potential to a standard which will fulfil their aspirations and improve their quality of life.
• British Computer Association of the Blind - Aims to promote the special needs and interests of visually impaired people who either work in the computing field or have an active interest in computing.
• British Wireless for the Blind Fund- Since 1929, the British Wireless for the Blind Fund has supplied over half a million radios to blind listeners.
• Calibre - Free cassette library for blind and print disabled people.
• ClearVision Project - A nationwide lending library of braille/print children's books.
• COTIS - A self-help grouping of tape recording services and cassette libraries.
• County Durham Society for the Visually Handicapped - Offers services to visually impaired people with the aim of improving the quality of life of this sector of the community and reducing the sense of isolation experienced by many visually impaired people.
• Deafblind Link - Information about deafblindness.
• Dorton House School Access Technology Services - Supports the learning of more than 120 children in this special school for visually impaired children. Also offers a range of specialist technology consultancy services for parents, schools, LEAs and other agencies.
• Fight for Sight - Raises funds for research into the prevention, treatment and cure of eye disease and blindness at the Institute of Ophthalmology, research arm of Moorfields Eye Hospital.
• Guide Dogs for the Blind Association - Breeding and training guide dogs, training visually impaired people to use guide dogs, and providing other services and facilities for the visually impaired.
• Grampian Society for the Blind - Providing services to over 2,000 severely visually impaired people in the North East of Scotland.
• International Glaucoma Association - Offers patients and health care professionals interested in preventing blindness from glaucoma, a forum for the exchange of ideas and the opportunity to campaign for greater Government recognition of the problem.
• Nystagmus Network - Self help group for all those affected by the eye condition nystagmus.
• Opsis - Association of seven major independent national charities working together to provide services for people who are visually impaired.
• Royal London Society for the Blind - Provides a wide range of education, training and employment for visually impaired people of all ages.
• Royal National College for the Blind - College for people who are blind or partially sighted, based on a large residential campus where students prepare for a wide range of nationally recognised academic and vocational qualifications.
• Scottish Sensory Centre - Promotes and supports new developments and effective practices in the education of children and young people with sensory impairments.
• Sight Savers International - Working to give blind people back their sight, provide speedy treatment for diseases which threaten sight, check the toll of childhood blindness, establish and support eye hospitals and outreach services and train local eye care workers.
• Talking Newspaper Association of the UK - Records on to audio cassette over 185 national newspapers and magazines for visually impaired and disabled people.
• Teesside and District Society for the Blind - Promotes the needs and interests of over 1800 people with a visual impairment in Stockton, Middlesbrough and Redcar & Cleveland.
• Visually Impaired Sea Anglers - Aims to give blind and partially sighted people living in Northern Ireland an opportunity to participate in the sport of sea angling.
