My Resume

Hi!

Welcome to my home page.

It is said that a speech is like a ladies' skirt. It has to be short to be attractive and at the same time long enough to cover the necessary details. I am not sure how attractive it is going to be but definitely I will be more concerned to make it concise.

I was born and brought up in Calcutta, 'the City of Joy' where I spent twenty- five years amongst my liberal parents, energetic friends, beloved relatives and my fellow Indians. I obtained my Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) Degree from St. Xavier's college in the year 1992. At first, I first studied for Chartered Accountancy (similar to a Certified Public Accountant in the U.S.) and decided overnight that my sole interest was in computers and not in Balance Sheets or for that matter, anything related to them.

It was then I joined my first computer job in a software consultancy firm (DPS India Pvt.Ltd.) as a computer programmer. I started working on the IBM AS/400 platform. I had worked in Toshiba Europe GmbH, Hammfelddamm, Germany in 1995 and in Toshiba Medical Division, Zoetermeer, The Netherlands in 1996. I came to the U.S. in September, 1996 and have worked in Connecticut and New York till May, 1998. Then I got the break I had waited for. I got a job as a Programmer/Analyst in J.D.Edwards.

My cosmopolitan outlook was considerably shaped through my global exposures. Now that I am in the U.S., the greatest gain besides education is the spontaneous mingling of cultures from different parts of the world.

Since this page is under construction, I certainly hope that you will bear with me in this effort and I request you to give me suggestions via e-mail.

Thank you for visiting my page and Have Fun.
